5 Homemade Face Masks for Flawless Skin

Who should use it?
Anyone with a blotchy complexion who misses their glow and needs a mask that does its job in a matter of minutes.

Cucumber is gorged with water, which makes it a superb ingredient for hydrating, cleaning and brightening skin. Bursting with vitamin C, it has cleansing and astringent properties.
You'll need: cucumber - 1 small pot of plain yoghurtPeel and dice the cucumber then stir in the yoghurt. Apply it liberally to your face and leave for 15 minutes.

Who should use it?
Those of you with dry, tight skin that feels itchy and suffers from red patches.

Why?
Avocados contain proteins and vitamins A, B and E, all of which hydrate our skin and protect it from the elements. As for bananas, they soften and nourish skin.
You'll need: - 1/2 very ripe avocado - 1 banana - 1 tablespoon of honeyMash up the avocado and banana until you get a smooth paste. Add the honey to get a creamy texture, apply to your face and leave for 10 minutes.

Who should use it?
Anyone who needs to unclog their pores and those of you with oily skin.

Why?
Green clay purifies and absorbs grime, meaning it balances out oily skin by vacuuming up sebum.
You'll need: - 2 tablespoons of powdered clay - 1 teaspoon of walnut oil - 2 tablespoons of mineral waterMix up the 3 ingredients until you get a smooth, lump-free paste. Apply a thick layer to your face, avoiding your eyes and lips. Leave for 10 to 15 minutes.

Who should use it?
Anyone with dull, sallow skin.

Why?
Strawberries are astringent, slow down skin ageing and have an immediate brightening effect.
You'll need: - a handful of strawberries - 1 tablespoon of plain yoghurt - 1 egg white. Mash up the strawberries and add the yoghurt. Beat the egg white until stiff and stir into the mixture. Apply to your face and neck and leave for 20 to 30 minutes.

Anyone who wants to slow down skin ageing and combat oxidation caused by pollution, the sun and smoking.

Why?
Cocoa is a turbo-charged antioxidant that's 3 times more powerful than green tea.
You'll need: - 2 squares of dark chocolate - 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil (argan, olive, nut...) - 1 tablespoon of fresh single creamMelt the chocolate in a bain marie and mix in the oil and cream until you get a smooth paste. Apply and leave for 20 minutes.
